overview
This course is a stand alone module for crane or narrow aisle operators, or is included as part of other tall structures courses.

Covers the use of evacuation equipment in accordance with HSE guidance, especially with respect to the use of descent devices and controlling the rate of descent.

Includes practice of descent from a range of heights, together with controlled rescue of a live casualty and how to deal with the risks associated with harness suspension.

NB: PLEASE NOTE THE TOWER RESCUE ELEMENT WILL REQUIRE REVALIDATION ANNUALLY.
medical requirements
Must have no contra-indications against work at height.
entry requirements
Must have completed heightec Occasional Climber course or equivalent.
Must be fluent in English.

assessment method:  Practical and written
certification:  heightec certificate.
certificate validity:  3 years (Tower Rescue Element - 1 year)
