This course is to provide sufficient knowledge to allow a person to work safely in the hub section (incl. blade area). Includes elements of a Safe System of Work, use of tools, equipment selection and inspection, risk assessment, emergency procedures and method statements.
Rescues are carried out in a variety of realistic situations in the hub, blade and yaw area of our simulator, or in your own WTG.
medical requirements
Physical fitness with no contra-indications for working at height. A self-certified statement of reasonable medical fitness will be required prior to attendance.
entry requirements
All candidates must have completed the TTS5U Climber course for Wind Turbines.
It is essential that all candidates are already competent in the use of fall protection equipment and energy absorbing lanyards, including understanding how to fit and use a harness correctly and the need for safe connection at all times.
Valid certification ill be required prior to acceptance on course.
