About Supporting Skills
Whereas specialist access skills may only be relevant to particular types of work, other knowledge is common to a wide variety applications and is required for all work at height - first aid, for example, or detailed inspection of equipment.

It is possible that these ancillary skills may be held by different members of an organisation, e.g. a site supervisor is able to deliver first aid and a specified person in stores is competent to examine equipment to the required standard.
The use of the equipment, importance of a safe system of work and procedures in the event of emergency were explained in great detail. The time spent making sure we were comfortable with course content was excellent.
