Vertical walls and shafts
Vertical walls provide ideal experience of exposure and realistic workplace environments.

The indoor shaft illustrated here is nearly 30 m from ceiling to floor and is used only when candidates have gained experience and confidence in less daunting situations.

Indoor walls are used for a wide variety of both vertical rigging exercises and to learn methods of horizontal progression - as shown here.

External walls are used more generally for straightforward descent and to give experience of exposure to height.
